CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 136(STA)

• Prohibits public agencies from releasing home addresses or telephone numbers of eligible law enforcement and correctional personnel who have applied for confidentiality protection.

• Allows the following individuals to request confidentiality: police officers, correctional officers, municipal correctional officers, and parole officers.

• Requires the Department of Administration to develop a confidentiality application form in consultation with other departments and municipalities.

• Excludes the state recorder's office in the Department of Natural Resources from the confidentiality requirements and definitions in this section.

• Defines relevant terms (correctional officer, municipal correctional officer, parole officer, and police officer) by reference to AS 18.65.290.
