Amends Section 30 of Chapter 28, SLA 2000 to extend the termination date of the statewide boating safety and education program from July 1, 2010 to July 1, 2011

Sections 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 20, 23, 26, and 27 of the original boating safety legislation take effect on the earlier of July 1, 2011 or 90 days after the Alaska Legislative Council chair notifies the revisor of statutes that the state did not receive federal funding for the program

The Alaska Legislative Council chair must receive majority approval from council members before issuing notice that federal boating and safety program funding was not received

The director of legislative finance is required to notify the Alaska Legislative Council chair when the state fails to receive federal boating and safety program funding in the previous fiscal year

The act takes effect immediately upon passage under AS 01.10.070(c)
