AK HB204

Increases the annual capacity for Alaska residents pursuing medical education from at least 20 to up to and including 24 new program participants per year.

Requires the commission to enter into agreements with government or postsecondary education officials in Alaska or other states to provide medical education services and programs.

Limits agreements with other states to services and programs that are unavailable in Alaska.

Requires medical education program participants to agree to repayment conditions imposed under AS 14.43.510.

Effective date: July 1, 2010.
