HB 215 Summary

• Suspends the operation of school experience factors applicable to teacher salary scales for two years, from July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2011

• Suspends provisions of AS 14.16.050(a)(3)(C) and AS 14.20.220 that determine teacher salaries based on school experience during the suspension period

• Prohibits teacher salaries from being reduced after July 1, 2011, to an amount less than the salary in effect on the last day of the school term immediately before July 1, 2011, even after the suspension expires
