Amends AS 29.45.050(b) to allow municipalities to adopt ordinances granting property tax exemptions for energy-efficient improvements.

Permits municipalities to partially or wholly exempt improvements to real property that are eligible for federal tax credits for energy efficiency in the year the exemption is granted.

Exemption applies only to improvements that simultaneously qualify for federal energy efficiency tax credits.

Provides municipalities with optional authority rather than mandatory requirements for granting such exemptions.
