Creates a new crime of hazing in Alaska Statute 11.61.115, making it illegal for a person to knowingly engage in any act or cause any situation that recklessly subjects a student or another person to the risk of physical injury for the purpose of initiation into a school or university organization.

Applies to organizations operating in connection with middle schools, junior high schools, high schools, colleges, or universities, including fraternities, sororities, clubs, athletic teams, and similar student groups.

Exempts normal and customary acts in athletic, physical education, military training, or similar programs that are sanctioned by the educational institution.

Eliminates consent or acquiescence as a legal defense to hazing charges.

Classifies hazing as a Class A misdemeanor.
