Amends AS 47.55.010(c) to authorize the Department of Health and Social Services to accept federal prescription drug benefits allotted by the federal government for residents of the Alaska Pioneers' Home.

Adds new subsection AS 47.55.020(f) allowing the department to adopt regulations providing comparable prescription drug benefits as an alternative to accepting federal benefits.

Applies to Alaska Pioneers' Home residents eligible for discount or free prescription drug benefits from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs or the Indian Health Service.

Permits the state to either accept available federal prescription drug benefits or provide state-funded comparable benefits to eligible pioneers and veterans residents.
