AK HJR13

Amends Article II, Section 5 of the Alaska Constitution to replace the reference to "secretary of state" with "lieutenant governor" in the section governing legislator disqualifications and eligibility for other offices.

Amends Article III, Section 25 of the Alaska Constitution to replace the reference to "secretary of state" with "lieutenant governor" in the section addressing department heads and executive appointments.

Corrects obsolete constitutional references that no longer reflect Alaska's current governmental structure, as the office of secretary of state no longer exists in the state.

Requires the proposed amendments to be submitted to Alaska voters at the next general election in accordance with Article XIII, Section 1 of the Alaska Constitution and state election laws.
