Notes that more than 50 percent of fish and seafood consumed annually in the United States currently originates from foreign countries, creating competition for Alaska seafood products.

Requests that Congress pass legislation establishing a national seafood marketing fund using a significant portion of import tariff revenue to promote domestic seafood products.

Urges Alaska's congressional delegation to work with representatives of other seafood-producing states to secure adequate funding for sustained domestic marketing of American seafood.
