• Alaska House of Representatives reaffirms support for environmentally responsible development of the Kensington Gold Mine located in Southeast Alaska.

• Resolves that if the U.S. Supreme Court rules in favor of the Kensington Gold Mine permits, the governor should encourage and facilitate prompt continuation, reinstatement, reactivation, and extension of permits to allow mine operations.

• States the mine was fully permitted by federal, state, and local agencies based on three environmental impact statements and over 1,000 environmental and engineering studies determining the mine is the environmentally preferred option.

• Identifies the mine as a "shovel-ready" project expected to provide approximately 300 jobs during construction and 200 annual jobs during an estimated 10-year operational period at an average annual salary of $80,000 plus benefits.

• Directs copies of the resolution be sent to federal officials including President Obama, congressional leadership, and Alaska's congressional delegation.
