AK SB11

Requires health care insurers to enroll dependent children under 26 years of age upon request by the insured and prohibits disenrollment unless requested by the insured.

Defines "dependent child" as an unmarried child related by blood or law (including adopted children) who is financially dependent, has no dependents, and is not covered by another health insurance policy or federal/state health program.

Requires dependent children to be enrolled full-time students at regionally or nationally accredited institutions of higher education.

Increases the maximum age limit for dependent children in health insurance policies from 23 years to 26 years in AS 21.51.020.

Changes language in insurance policy requirements from "shall" to "may" regarding the maximum age specification for dependent children coverage.
