SB 13 Summary

• Increases income eligibility threshold for children under 19 from 175 percent to 200 percent of the federal poverty line for medical assistance coverage

• Increases income eligibility threshold for pregnant women from 175 percent to 200 percent of the federal poverty line for medical assistance coverage

• Allows the department to require sliding scale premiums or cost-sharing contributions from children whose household income falls between 150 and 200 percent of the federal poverty line, not to exceed federal limits

• Adds coverage for persons diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer who are eligible under federal law

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment
