Repeals and reenacts AS 14.30.740 to establish funding for the Alaska Challenge Youth Academy program.

Department shall allocate $11,990 per full-time student multiplied by the total number of residential and nonresidential students enrolled in the academy each fiscal year.

Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs must submit an annual report to the department specifying the number of residential and nonresidential students enrolled full-time as of October 1 of the prior year.

Defines "residential student" as a student who resides at the program site and "nonresidential student" as a student who receives services but does not reside at the program site.
