AK SB49

Allows applicants for motor vehicle or identification documents to voluntarily donate $1 or more to promote blood donations in Alaska.

Requires the Department of Administration to collect donations quarterly and credit them to the blood donation awareness fund.

Establishes the blood donation awareness fund to receive voluntary donations, other contributions, and legislative appropriations for promoting blood donations and administering the donation program.

Authorizes the legislature to appropriate money from the fund to organizations for purposes of promoting blood donations in the state.

Provides that money appropriated to the fund may be spent for fund purposes without further appropriation and does not lapse.
