• Low-speed vehicle operators are prohibited from operating on highways with maximum speed limits exceeding 35 miles per hour, with limited exceptions.

• Operators may drive on 45 mile-per-hour highways within municipalities with populations under 35,000 that are not road-connected to Anchorage or Fairbanks and have passed local ordinances permitting low-speed vehicle operation.

• Operators may drive on 45 mile-per-hour highways in unorganized borough areas outside cities that are not road-connected to Anchorage or Fairbanks.

• Low-speed vehicles are permitted to cross intersections with highways that exceed the normally allowable speed limits for low-speed vehicle operation.
