AK SB99

Allows persons receiving retirement benefits to voluntarily authorize deduction of annual dues from their benefits to pay for membership in retirement organizations.

Requires authorization to be made in writing on an administrator-approved form and allows revocation at any time in writing.

Defines "retirement organization" as organizations representing benefit recipients that are affiliated with employee organizations under Alaska labor law.

Permits the administrator to assess a reasonable administrative fee by regulation to cover costs of administering the dues deduction program.

Takes effect October 1, 2009.
