Moves the Violent Crimes Compensation Board from the Department of Administration to the Department of Public Safety

Maintains the board's composition of three members appointed by the governor, with one designated as chair

Requires at least one board member to be a medical or osteopathic physician licensed or retired in Alaska and one member to be an attorney licensed or retired in Alaska

Designates the Department of Public Safety to provide administrative services to the Violent Crimes Compensation Board

Repeals AS 44.21.020(11), removing references to the board's former location in the Department of Administration
