Requires group health insurance policies offered by the state and participating local governments to include colorectal screening coverage for retirees under AS 21.42.377.

Allows retirees to choose in writing between generic and brand-name prescription drugs when both are available.

Prohibits insurance plans from covering the cost difference between brand-name and generic drugs if a retiree chooses the brand-name option, with exceptions when a prescriber or pharmacist states in writing that generics are unavailable or unlawful to dispense.

Applies to persons receiving benefits under teacher, public safety officer, judicial officer, or former public employee retirement systems after employment termination.

Defines "generic drug product" as equivalent to the definition of "equivalent drug product" under AS 08.80.480.
