• Reinstates the child and adult immunization program in the Department of Health and Social Services with state funding to replace lost federal funding since 2009.

• Provides recommended vaccines to uninsured and underinsured state residents through eligible licensed providers, including federally designated rural health clinics.

• Children under 19 years old receive all school-required vaccines plus meningococcal, rotavirus, influenza, and pneumococcal vaccines; adults 19 and older receive influenza, pneumococcal, Tdap, and zoster vaccines.

• Authorizes the commissioner to add or remove vaccines based on federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations, funding availability, and scientific evidence.

• Program is temporary and repeals June 30, 2015; effective immediately.
