• Emergency responders assisting other political subdivisions maintain licenses and certifications from their home jurisdiction, are not employees of the requesting subdivision, and receive only workers' compensation benefits from their own political subdivision.

• Requesting political subdivisions must reimburse responding subdivisions for the full value of assistance provided, with disputes resolved through written notice and arbitration if unresolved within 90 days.

• Provides liability protections preventing civil action against responding political subdivisions or their personnel, except in cases of gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct.
