HB 83 - Apprentice Hunting Program

• Allows Alaska residents under 18 years of age to hunt without completing a hunter education or safety course if they obtain the required hunting license.

• Requires the minor to be accompanied by and under immediate supervision of either a resident at least 18 years old who has completed hunter education/safety training and holds a license, or a resident at least 25 years old who holds a license.

• Defines "immediate supervision" as remaining within audible and visual range of the supervising adult.
