Creates the Taku River Task Force as a joint legislative task force composed of eight members, including the Senate District B senator, House District 3 and 4 representatives, the fish and game commissioner or designee, and four public members representing recreational property owners, commercial fishermen, transportation businesses, and non-consumptive users.

Task force shall review biological data on Taku River fish and game resources, monitor industrial vessel traffic, determine how to protect the river's unique resources while maintaining habitat productivity, and recommend public policy options for resource protection.

Taku River supports over 400 fishing-related jobs and generates an estimated $8,000,000 annually from commercial and recreational fishing, plus over $25,000,000 from all associated activities.

Task force meetings are open to the public and the group shall submit findings to the legislature by December 1, 2011, with termination scheduled for January 31, 2012.

Resolution emphasizes protecting existing property rights, recreational uses (hunting, fishing, trapping, watercraft and aircraft use), and established businesses against risks from industrial transportation corridor proposals.
