Urges the Municipality of Anchorage to designate the entire former Tract B of Muldoon Estates Subdivision as a park and develop it in coordination with the Northeast Community Council and Scenic Foothills Community Council.

Property was purchased by Anchorage in 2006 under Assembly Ordinance No. 2006-149(S), with the easternmost 12 acres already designated as a park; the property is bounded by Muldoon Road, military reservation, Debarr Road, and 14th Avenue.

The Muldoon area contains some of Alaska's most densely populated neighborhoods with planned future high-density housing development, making adequate recreational facilities important for quality of life and property values.

The Governor appropriated $1,000,000 to the Municipality of Anchorage in 2010 for park development on the property, and both the Northeast Community Council (October 2009) and Scenic Foothills Community Council (January 2012) unanimously passed resolutions supporting park designation.

Residents currently use the undeveloped property for hiking, cross-country skiing, dog walking, and picnicking; public transit access would be reduced if the western portion is not included in the park.
