Alaska State Legislature fully supports relocating the Coastal Villages Region Fund fishing fleet home port from Seattle to Seward, Alaska

Coastal Villages Region Fund is the largest Alaskan-owned seafood company with projected $75,000,000 in 2011 sales and currently spends approximately $20,000,000 annually in Seattle for moorage, vendor support, and maintenance

Seward is the only Alaska community meeting all relocation requirements: year-round ice-free deep water port, road/rail/air access, available development space, major ship repair capabilities, and maritime training facilities

Coastal Villages Region Fund requires half-mile of dock space, 20,000 square feet of warehouse space, 5,000 square feet of office space, and five to 10 acres of fenced yard for equipment and staging

Construction of infrastructure to support home-porting may be completed by December 15, 2014, building on $70,000,000 in existing infrastructure at the Seward Marine Industrial Center
