Urges the President, Secretary of Defense, and Congress to recognize Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson's vital importance to national security and protect military bases in Alaska.

Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson hosts approximately 13,000 military personnel, 20,000 family members, and 3,000+ civilian employees across 84,530 acres.

Base houses the Alaskan Command, Alaska NORAD Region, 11th Air Force Third Wing, U.S. Army Alaska headquarters, and over 60 other military organizations.

Alaska NORAD Region safeguards North American air sovereignty and responds to air sovereignty threats on a no-notice basis.

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to President Barack Obama, Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta, and Alaska's congressional delegation.
