Board of Education and Early Development must submit an annual report to legislature by the 30th legislative day of each regular session, presented in person to education committees.

Annual report must include summary of policy decision rationales, program and curriculum changes made or discussed, and additional information relevant to improving the public education system.

Joint legislative task force on theme-based education established consisting of one senate member, one house member, and the chair of the house education committee.

Task force required to compile research on theme-based education, explore approaches to increase career readiness, and submit written recommendations to improve curriculum by January 1, 2012.

Task force terminates January 1, 2012; members serve without compensation but receive per diem and travel expenses.
