Oil or gas producers employing more than 100 employees in Alaska must promptly notify the Department of Labor and Workforce Development in writing of each available job opportunity in the state.

The Department of Labor must post all job notifications on its Internet-based labor exchange system, distribute them to job service organizations, and deliver them to the Alaska Workforce Investment Board's employment and placement committee.

Job notifications are designated as public information and may contain sufficient detail for qualified applicants to submit timely applications.

Notification is not required when public notice would reasonably cause substantial financial harm to the employer or when the employer has complied with notification requirements under the Alaska Stranded Gas Development Act or Alaska Gasline Inducement Act.

The Alaska Workforce Investment Board's employment and placement committee must make state residents aware of job opportunity notifications from oil or gas producers as part of its workforce development duties.
