SB 56 Summary

• Extends the termination date of the Alaska coastal management program (AS 46.40) by one year, from January 2011 to January 2012, under the state's program evaluation and termination statute.

• Makes the amendment to AS 44.66.020(a)(5) retroactive to January 1, 2011.

• Amends Section 22 of Chapter 31, SLA 2005 to change the effective date for sections 1-13 and 18 from July 1, 2011 to July 1, 2012, while retaining conditions related to federal approval of the state's revised coastal management program.

• Makes Section 3 of this Act retroactive to July 1, 2011 if the Act takes effect on or after that date.

• The Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
