Proclaims September 24, 2012, as United States Marshals Day in Alaska to honor the service of United States Marshals and their deputies.

Recognizes that President George Washington signed the Judiciary Act of 1789 on September 24, 1789, and appointed the first 13 United States Marshals to enforce federal law across judicial districts.

Notes that United States Marshals and deputies have served the Territory of Alaska since 1884 and have continued serving the state with dedication, integrity, and personal sacrifice.

Acknowledges that eight deputy United States Marshals have died in the line of duty while serving Alaska.

Affirms that the service of United States Marshals and their deputies has been vital to the safety and prosperity of communities in both the Territory and State of Alaska.
