Alaska Legislature commends and supports the Office of the Governor and attorney general for challenging federal government actions affecting state resources and economic interests.

Legislature opposes federal regulatory actions including the Endangered Species Act's polar bear critical habitat designations, restrictions on Alaska river access, and adverse actions against timber, mining, and oil and gas development interests.

Legislature affirms Alaska's constitutional policy to encourage resource development for maximum use consistent with the public interest.

Legislature urges the United States Congress and President to limit federal government overreach into state resource management.

Resolution copies shall be sent to the President, Vice President, U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Mark Begich, and U.S. Representative Don Young.
