AK SJR3

Amends Alaska Constitution Article III, Section 15 to include the attorney general and general counsel in compensation provisions that cannot be diminished during their term of office.

Creates an elected attorney general position filled by qualified voters at the same time as the governor, with eligibility requirements matching superior court judge qualifications and a two-term limit with one-term interval before re-election.

Establishes a general counsel position appointed by the governor with legislative confirmation to represent the governor and executive branch departments.

Provides that attorney general vacancies before the first election shall be filled by gubernatorial appointment with legislative confirmation, with successor elections held at the first general election occurring at least six months after the vacancy.

Requires submission of proposed constitutional amendments to Alaska voters at the next general election in accordance with Article XIII, Section 1.
