CSHB 112(FSH) - Summary

• Repeals the Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission and establishes a commercial fisheries entry division within the Department of Fish and Game to assume all Commission functions

• Transfers administrative hearing authority for commercial fisheries entry matters from the Commission to the Office of Administrative Hearings, with final decisions rendered by that office

• Retains all existing commercial fisheries regulations, permit systems, and entry controls; changes organizational structure but maintains operational continuity

• Employees of the Commission become employees of the Department of Fish and Game division on the effective date

• Grandfather provisions ensure pending litigation, certificates, orders, regulations, contracts, and property transfers continue in effect during the transition
