• Towers greater than 100 feet in height must be marked with operational light systems visible from 2,000 feet away, seven-foot safety sleeves on anchor points and guy wires, and high-visibility spherical marker balls of aviation orange color.

• Tower owners must register towers greater than 50 feet in height with the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities at least 20 days before installation, providing location, height, type, owner information, and visibility method.

• Department must publish registration information on its website within 15 days in sortable table format and interactive map display.

• Towers greater than 50 feet in height cannot be constructed within one mile of an airport intended for public use or through its air approach, unless the commissioner waives the prohibition as impracticable.

• Violations of the law constitute a violation under AS 12.55; existing towers must be registered within 45 days of the act's effective date; the act takes effect immediately.
