Increases employee contributions to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development from 0.1 percent to 0.26 percent of wages for the State Training and Employment Program.

Repeals Alaska Statutes sections 23.15.820, 23.15.830, 23.15.835, 23.15.840, and 23.15.850, terminating the Alaska technical and vocational education program.

Transfers unencumbered balances from the Alaska technical and vocational education program account to the general fund, while preserving already encumbered funds.

New contracts entered into on or after the effective date must comply with the amended contribution rates.

Effective date is July 1, 2016.
