Establishes a pilot project for electronic visit verification systems to improve accountability in Alaska's medical assistance program for personal care and home and community-based services.

Department of Health and Social Services shall adopt guidelines requiring electronic systems to document the provider name, employee/contractor name, recipient name, service start and end times, and service delivery location.

Department may use third-party vendor systems for the pilot project implementation.

Department shall review the pilot project and deliver a report with statewide application recommendations to the legislature by July 1, 2018.

Legislative intent is to protect vulnerable Alaskans and reduce fraudulent claims in the medical assistance program through technology-enhanced accountability.
