Manufacturers of cosmetics sold in Alaska must disclose the full list of ingredients on their Internet website, including ingredients of fragrances, flavors, and color additives.

Ingredient lists must be ordered by descending predominance, except ingredients present at one percent or less concentration may be listed without regard to order.

Manufacturers must provide the same ingredient information required under 21 CFR 701.3(c) and include the Chemical Abstracts Service number for each ingredient, but are not required to list ingredient concentrations.

Failure to comply with the disclosure requirements becomes a prohibited act enforceable by the commissioner of environmental conservation.

The Act takes effect July 1, 2017.
