Establishes a matching grant program in the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development for museum construction, expansion, and major renovation projects.

Grants may not exceed 50 percent of final projected costs based on accepted bids.

Eligible museums must be located in Alaska, be eligible to receive state grant funds, and provide matching funds equal to at least 50 percent of total proposed project costs.

"Major renovation" is defined as significant physical upgrades that improve artifact preservation, public presentation, or educational space and services.

Includes cultural centers that exhibit, care for, or store collections and are open to the public in the definition of eligible applicants.
