SSHB 7 Summary

• Adds a new sixth subsection to murder in the second degree (AS 11.41.110) to include causing death while operating a motor vehicle, watercraft, or aircraft under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life.

• Adds a new fourth subsection to manslaughter (AS 11.41.120) to include recklessly causing death while operating a motor vehicle, watercraft, or aircraft.

• Applies to all offenses committed on or after the effective date of the legislation.
