AK HJR21

Establishes term limits for Alaska legislators: representatives limited to four full or partial successive terms, senators limited to two full or partial successive terms.

Requires a one-term hiatus before a legislator who has reached the term limit is eligible to hold that office again.

Provides that term limit restrictions do not prevent legislators reelected in the 2016 general election from serving their elected terms or prematurely end terms for those serving when the amendment becomes effective.

Submits the proposed constitutional amendments to Alaska voters at the next general election in accordance with state constitutional and election law procedures.
