SB 125 Summary

• Adds three nonvoting legislative members to the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) board: one house member appointed by the speaker, one senate member appointed by the president of the senate, and one minority caucus member appointed jointly by both legislative leaders.

• Legislative members may participate in all board activities and executive sessions except voting, and cannot serve terms longer than two years.

• Legislative members receive no compensation or reimbursement from the corporation for board service.

• Changes references throughout the statute from "members" and "membership" to "voting members" to clarify that voting authority remains with the five public members and two governor-designated department heads.

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment with application to board members appointed or reappointed on or after the effective date.
