Repeals and reenacts AS 47.05.080(a) to require benefit overpayments collected by the Department of Health and Social Services from public assistance programs to be remitted to the Department of Revenue, except for overpayments recovered under AS 47.07 that cover the value of services paid from federal sources.

Applies retroactively to the recovery of all benefit overpayments for public assistance programs administered by the Department of Health and Social Services, regardless of whether overpayments occurred before, on, or after July 1, 2016.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
