SB 35 - 2015 Revisor's Corrections Bill

• Makes corrective amendments to Alaska Statutes as recommended by the revisor of statutes, including technical corrections to terminology, formatting, and statutory cross-references throughout multiple titles of law.

• Replaces outdated or overly broad language such as "and" with "or", removes redundant capitalized bracketed language, and standardizes references to Alaska Rules of Civil Procedure and federal statutes.

• Clarifies statutory definitions and organizational titles, such as changing "liaison officer" to "historic preservation officer" in AS 41.35.310 and modifying language related to fraternal organizations and corporate provisions.

• Makes limited substantive changes including repealing three statute sections (AS 19.75.980(4), AS 45.25.990(14), and AS 46.03.900(31)) and establishing that Section 35 takes effect July 1, 2015, while remaining sections take effect immediately.
