SB 9 Summary

• Expands voter registration verification to match all voters' identifying information with Department of Administration motor vehicle records and Department of Revenue permanent fund dividend records (previously limited to mail/electronic registrations).

• Allows voter registration information to be released to other states or groups of states for voter list accuracy verification, provided they maintain confidentiality using International Organization for Standardization standards or state-approved security procedures.

• Restricts political party material in general election pamphlets to maximum 2 pages and prohibits images (except logos), advocacy for/against other parties, and naming individual candidates or public officials.

• Allows political parties to promote their platform and tenets generally without naming individual persons.

• Takes effect immediately upon passage.
