SB 94 Summary

• Allows school districts with a full value of $200,001 or more per student (ADM) that have been prioritized for funding by court order or consent decree to reduce their participating share to two percent if they demonstrate inability to pay the required amount
• Permits reduction of participating share if the required amount would jeopardize federal assistance or student health and welfare
• Notwithstanding AS 14.11.008(b), districts must submit written documentation to the commissioner to qualify for the reduced two percent participating share
• Takes effect immediately upon passage
• Repeals June 30, 2018
