Proposes an amendment to Rule 20(a) of the Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature to establish the Ways and Means Committee as a standing committee in each house.

Assigns the Ways and Means Committee jurisdiction over consideration of methods to control state spending, identification of ways to make government programs more efficient, and review of measures that raise state revenue.

Introduced by Senator Gardner on January 21, 2016, during the Twenty-Ninth Legislature's Second Session.
