Exempts the construction of two new Alaska Class Ferry vessels by Vigor Alaska, LLC at the Ketchikan Shipyard from art requirements under AS 35.27.020, with vessels scheduled for delivery in 2018.

Exempts the construction of a replacement vessel for the Motor Vessel Tustumena from art requirements under AS 35.27.020.

Makes the exemption for the two Alaska Class Ferry vessels retroactive to September 1, 2014.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment under AS 01.10.070(c).
