Establishes a matching grant program in the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development for museum construction, expansion, and major renovation projects.

Department may award grants only when the legislature appropriates funds for the program and applicants provide matching funds equal to at least 50 percent of total proposed project costs.

Eligible museums must be located in Alaska, eligible to receive state grant funds, and apply on a department-approved form.

Grant awards may not exceed 50 percent of total proposed project costs.

Defines "museum" to include museums as defined in AS 14.57.290 and cultural centers open to the public that exhibit, care for, or store collections.
