Amends AS 16.05.930 to allow municipalities to regulate trapping within their boundaries under AS 29.35.052.

Authorizes municipalities to enact ordinances imposing trap identification requirements, signage or notice requirements for traps, restrictions on trap types that could injure persons or property, and prohibitions on trap placement in dangerous locations.

Applies to both home rule and general law municipalities and allows exemptions from municipal trapping ordinances for good cause.

Preserves authority of Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Fish and Game, and Department of Public Safety to exercise their respective powers over disease control, fish and wildlife management, and public safety.

Prohibits municipalities from enacting ordinances that eliminate reasonable opportunities for subsistence trapping of game within their boundaries; effective January 1, 2018.
