Exempts defensive display of a firearm from assault in the fourth degree charges under AS 11.41.230(a)(3)

Exempts defensive display of a firearm from reckless endangerment charges under AS 11.41.250(a)

Defines "defensive display of a firearm" to include openly wearing or carrying a firearm, verbally informing another person of firearm possession, holding a firearm without pointing it at another person, displaying a firearm to dissuade a threatening person, and warning another person about firearm availability to dissuade threats

These exemptions apply to offenses committed on or after the effective date of the Act
