Legislators lose daily per diem allowance for days the legislature is in session after the first 90 consecutive days of a regular session if a bill that fully funds an operating budget has not been passed by the legislature.

Per diem allowance is restored on the first day after a bill that fully funds an operating budget is passed by the legislature or on the first day of the next regular legislative session, whichever occurs earlier.

The Alaska Legislative Council must adopt a policy that applies equally to all members of the legislature regarding reimbursement for moving expenses and per diem allowance payments.

The Compensation Commission's recommendations for legislative compensation, benefits, and allowances become effective on the first day of the next regular legislative session unless a bill disapproving all recommendations is enacted within 60 days.

The Act takes effect January 10, 2018.
